FALL IN THE OLD MILL

Pete Alport Photography

24X36FALLOLDMILL_PRINT

I have been shooting the Old Mill area for over 20 years. Over those years a lot has changed; new buildings, a new water park, a new dog park, new parks, a new amphitheater, new roads, and more. One addition that continually shows time? The planted trees you see forming a “yellow brick road.” I remember when these trees were planted and how small they were in comparison to now, they almost touch each other from one side of the road to the other. I’ve shot this photo a few times over the years and never felt that great about what I had captured until now. I love this photo for a few reasons: the first real snow of the season on the volcanoes, peaking Fall color all over the place, the clouds mixed with a crystal clear blue sky, and an overall feeling of loving where I live.

This image would look great in an office, retail space, anywhere that would like to connote Bend and all its beauty.
