This image was shot in Yukon Canada, a province that is larger than Oregon and Washington combined, yet has a population of just over 44,000.

I saw an image of this Territorial Park six years ago and set my sites on being in that place at some point of my life...the border to Canada opened (covid) on August 8th, 2021 and I found myself driving over it on August 12th, 2021.

I love summertime backpacking and to reach this place requires a three night, four day hiking permit. The Northern Lights start to show here in August, but there are no guarantees. I was a couple hours away from the Arctic Circle, so my chances to see the Aurora were good. This was a 35 day solo trip, a trip in which I saw the Northern Lights nine times...they blow my mind every time! The color, the way they move, umm, I really can't describe the way the Aurora makes you feel, but it's awesome!

I don't know how to rank the camping spots I've been to, but if I had to, this one would be right up there as one of the best.

Love this image and it might look fantastic in an office, lobby, hotel, restaurant, anywhere a person wants to get away for a minute.
