FIRST HIT

I hammered on my snowboard for two decades, but college, then sales, and ultimately my love for the camera took precedence. Don't get me wrong, I still snowboard a ton, but the camera brings me just as much pleasure in the snow. One of the greatest feelings I have received and still do from snowboarding is landing the first hit off a jump or cliff into powder. No matter how much skill you bring to the game, there is always an element of surprise and elation doing what Gabe Ferguson did in this image...landing his first hit.
